Following a successful first year partnership, leading insurance builder HomeRepair has resigned with Stormseal for a further 12 months, extending their contract until June 2018.

HomeRepair, a national repair partner for many of Australia’s leading Insurers, has assisted thousands of home owners recover from storm damage and currently uses Stormseal in multiple regions across Victoria, NSW, and Queensland.

In the past 12 months, HomeRepair has had the opportunity to use Stormseal’s patented polymer protection system to assist Australians in a number of significant crisis events, including in the Western Sydney suburb of Kellyville, when thousands of homeowners were affected by a monster hailstorm in February this year and in the Dandenong Ranges where more than 90 homes were protected by Stormseal after devastating storms ravaged the area in November last year.

Former Head of Innovation for HomeRepair, David Wilson, has said previously he believes Stormseal will revolutionise the way tradespeople respond to storm damage following major weather events.

“For years we have had massive problems with tarps on roofs – they blow off and there is nothing worse, I believe, than being in a house with tarp on the roof and all night it’s flapping and banging and carrying on and we get water entry… Stormseal takes us into the next century… we’re very excited about it… From a customer experience it just puts us way ahead of the competition.”

HomeRepair are now on the lookout for further qualified, professional roofers and carpenters to be become Stormseal installers to help meet demand during business as usual and storm driven events.

Stormseal Managing Director Matthew Lennox said this contract represents great progress towards getting every insurance builder in Australia better equipped to protect Aussie homeowners in the aftermath of significant storm events.

“It’s time to say goodbye to tarps as a makesafe solution. They are just not fit for purpose. We need to work together to make Australia more disaster resilient. Responding to storm damage with a heat-sealed, one-application-only, resilient Stormseal installation should be the new standard in how we assist vulnerable residents in need of weather protection. Re-signing with HomeRepair is great news because it means we are one step closer to making Stormseal protection a reality for all Australians in their hour of need.”
